A Possible, Doomed, Long Distance Relationship….?

well, this is kinda complicated so here goes…my friend just graduated from college and lives about 200 miles away (I’m in the northern part of the state and he’s from the southern part). We both have feelings for each other but since he graduated we decided not to act on them since the chances of us seeing each other again are pretty slim. He is adamant about getting a job up here so we can still see each other but the field he’s it’s hard to find a job around here. So, here goes the question, I still have about two more years of college to go…is he worth keeping in contact with or should I just let the relationship tamper off? We’re both close to each other but we are not a couple (even though are friends swear we are) and I don’t want to get involved in a long distance relationship b/c him coming up here is hard now that he’s at home…basically we communicate through messenger and the phone…I don’t want to get hurt, any suggestions or recommendations?

It can work out if you two had a strong relationship before separating. I was in a faithful (If you are sure he is the one for you–and he feels the same way–then I would not recommend getting into another relationship) long distance relationship of 2500 miles for over a year, and we stayed in contact by phone (we each had Cingular phones, so there was no long distance charge). She lived in Reno, NV and I moved to Knoxville, TN. After she finished her degree, she moved to be with me and we are together today.
I hope everything works out for you :o )
