No HDMI capabilities on the Wii. The best resolution you can get will be 480p. You can connect the component cables to a transcoder and output VGA. That’s about it. Alternatively you can pick up a component switcher and share one of the inputs.
The Wii doesn’t support HDMI. At best you can do 480p with its component cable kit, otherwise you’re stuck at standard old 480i via composite or s-video. The games aren’t even widescreen either.
Why would you waste your time even thinking that the Wii would look good on HD? When they don’t even make it in HD and the graphics are as good as a Super Nintendo!
That is a definite no. Wii can’t even display Hi-def graphics in the 1st place so there was no need for them to have a way to have an HDMI connection. I wish Nintendo would get with the times. I got the Wii and am very disappointed in the graphic capability of the system. If they don’t get it right next round, I will not be supporting them in the future.
There’s no HDMI port on the wii.
