I wanna know if i wanna buy a plasma or a lcd tv? and what brands should i get im thinking a samsung? I do have a price range im trying not to go over $2,300 and im seeing costco looks like has the best price out there where would you buy your tv or buy it at… HELP!

We have a 47 inch lcd 1080p. philips and the picture is great. Blu ray movies look perfect. we bought ours about a year ago for 1499 at Wal-Mart but I see they are cheaper now.
Plasma has a more fuller and live picture. As for the Burn on the screens, the newer versions of T.v’s like the Panasonic series have solved that problem with pre-testing usage. Meaning before they ship them to stores they have the t.v’s work for 100 hours at low brightness levels. You can get a huge 50′ inch Panasonic plasma 1080p t.v for like 1899.99 at Best Buy. Check also that your t.v has a sub-field engine to correct motion blurr (at least 120hz). Maybe lower in other stores. Costco is actually more expensive.
As for LCD’S they are more snowy and blurry especialy up close. That is why they usually put cartoons in the showroom to help them improve picture quality for buyers. Form a 14 ft distance i think both lcd and Plasma are the same.
Peace,
Do not get a plasma! Do get The LCD Samsung 1080. You can not go wrong with this brand. 7 years ago, I bought a 42″ liquid crystal LCD and it’s the best I have ever owed. I still have it and it’s still new.
My pick in the future as well. Just so you know, I payed $3700 for mine at Best Buy, today you can find them around $1200.
Check Sams Club first!
