Move Closer To My Long Distance Girlfriend?
should i move back to my home town to be with my girlfriend? We met in our home town and moved for college. We’ve been in a long distance relationship for more than a year now. She’s 21 and I’m 22. I’m wondering if I should move home and go to a local University while applying for a transfer college cuz she moved back home due to financial issues. If i get in to the colleges i’m trying to get into i will move back. If i don’t get in, i am planning on going to a local university in my home town. (not the best school but still pretty decent) The issue here is my financial situation. I will be paying out of state at my home town for a semester or 2 till i get residency. Also moving that far can cause a lot of stress haha. I love her and i don’t know if she’d wait any longer. i know she says it and she should wait if she really loves me but i feel like WE deserve better. Should i make the leap and sacrifices? After all i am the man of the relationship haha

According to an article I read in Time magazine recently, over 75% of marriages between
people under 25 end in divorce. Many times emotions rule rather than the brain.
Ben Franklin said to take a sheet of paper, draw a line down the center and
then make a list of pros and cons. Pros on the left side balanced by the cons
on the right. True, not all factors carry the same weight.
I assume that you chose a career and university based on your interests and prospects.
A long distance relationship of a year duration is not very long and it certainly
does not guarantee that you can live together. Holding on to that relationship
prevents you from exploring other social lessons. It may work out all right
but if it doesn’t, you will blame her for getting you to change colleges
and resentment will build.
Learn to communicate openly and truthfully – right now. That is a most important
skill that needs to be adopted.
