Should I Buy A New Plasma Or Flat Panel Lcd Tv Now Or Wait For A Few Months?
I am planning on buying a Toshiba 50″ Plasma TV on black friday(the day after Thanksgiving) for $1699 at Best Buy that is regularly $2799. I am not sure of buying a tv now because everyone is saying that the prices are going to drastically drop after the new year. Others are saying that there are new technologies coming out also nest year. I am in a dilemma and do not know what I should do!?!?!?!? PLEASE HELP!!!!

The prices definitely drop after Christmas, so even though you think your getting a good deal wait, or better still buy it and keep the receipt, keep checking to make sure the price has not dropped further, return and re-buy if you need to. but ask them about the return policy before you buy it. I got my Sony flat screen after Christmas last year i got a very good deal, but got it from Costco, they price match or give you the money back difference if the price changes and you still have your receipt.
go for it i sell TVs for aliving and 50″ Toshiba plasma a great buy new technologies there is laser being talked about but no big names have product yet they next leap in plasma next year will be more sets 1080p very few models exist yet the new stuff will be costly then take 3-4 years to come down so i say buy the TV watch some amazing TV program and enjoy the hd video and 5.1 surround plus the have 30 day price guarantee if it goes any further
you should wait. It’s going to be two years before mandatory hd. If you have to buy one now then go for lcd. Plasma has a high repair rate currently. By the time of Christmas 2007 (supposively), the laser hdtv is suppose to debut. It is to be half the price of plasma and much brighter.
There are always new technologies around. You can wait until you die and still not watch an HD TV.
Go ahead and buy your dream Toshiba, especially at theis great price. Good luck.
