FIFA World Cup. Like I said in the “other” joint…it’s the biggest sporting tournament in the world.
The AFL Grand Final would obviously be great (regardless of weather or not my team was playing) but the World Cup is the event I’d like to see the most.

Look, I’m Australian. For me nothing can beat AFL. I’m an essendon supporter, and it took me a few years to really get into football. At first, I would only sit through a match of footy if it was essendon playing, and sometimes even I couldn’t finish watching. But now, I’m a AFL footy fanatic and I have been known to tell someone, ‘Sorry, can we catch up another night, the footy’s on’, and I would say that to anyone trying to interfere with me going to the Grand Final, even if my teams not playing.

  3. Tiger Fan for Life says:

Could I get the FIFA World Cup tickets sell them to someone, then have enough money to go to the AFL Grand Final and MCG test match? :)

  5. Aussie Gold says:

FIFA World Cup. I like my soccer, but not as much as rugby league and cricket.

  6. Enforcer says:

    AFL grand final

  7. Ben says:

id say the afl grand final or the fifa world cup :)

  8. Terri E says:

Well…I don’t really like cricket all that much but I’d choose to go watch the cricket in England…I have a friend who lives over there and I could go meet her in person…oh and shop…wow could I do some serious damage to my credit card over there…:P
P.S…lol shifty yes Melbourne is the place to be during Grand Final week…you really do get caught up in the game even if your team isn’t playing.

  9. Lexicogr says:

AFL Grand Final for me – no team preferences.
( With shifty waxing so lyrical with his answer I reckon he’s going to apply for the AFL PR job !! )

I hate soccer, don’t understand golf, olympics aren’t really my thing and I don’t like cricket but I really want to go to England so maybe ….nah it has the AFL Grand Final doesn’t matter if my team’s not in it i’d still get swept up in the excitement of the game. I just hope they’re good seats!

  11. Tank says:

AFL Grand Final without a doubt, footy’s the sport I most passionately follow, so seeing the biggest game of the season would be awesome. Either the Boxing Day test or Lord’s test would come second on my list.

  12. Chorus says:

Cricket Golf and Winter Games don’t interest me so it’d be between AFL and FIFA WC, do we get to pick the final for the WC?
The fact that it’s in South Africa is probably somehting that works against it for me, though I probably would have picked the AFL anyway (unless the WC one was the final and in a different place).
So GF for me under these stipulations.

  13. adp says:

    absolutely…
    The AFL Grand Final

  14. joyann says:

AFL grand final preferably with Adelaide winning it.

  15. shifty says:

having been to a grand final kev i just cant go past that one day in september for me.
a lords test match would be good. and i do hope to go when australia returns to try and beat the old enemy next time around.
boxing day tests are good too. but as for the rest that you have listed?
sorry just cant get interested. not even in the winter olympics, believe it or not?
what i can say is there is nothing that matches the euphoria of the crowd and especially when it erupts at the g on this very special day on the sporting calender. for all australians that just love our wonderfull indigenous game.
and until you have been in melbourne for the whole of the week leading up to the game you will never understand just what it is like to actually be there and get caught up in the real excitement that comes with this event being the Jewel in the crown for melbourne and its mad aussie rules lovers.
    cheers mate.
