12 from europe (not including netherlands)
4 from africa (not including south africa)
3 from north america
4 from south america
PLUS the playoffs that include
winner between (saudi arabia vs bahrain) VS. New Zealand. the winner of this playoff will GO directly to to the world cup.
and
playoff of 1 team from south america VS 1 team from north america
so in reality we could see in the world cup 3 teams from n. america and 5 from south america, or 4 and 4 from each continent.

South America (CONMEBOL) : 4.5 places
Asia (AFC) : 4.5 places
North, Central American and Caribbean (CONCACAF) : 3.5 places
Oceania (OFC) : 0.5 places
