Can I do this all with a flat panel monitor or would I be better looking into a (relatively) inexepensive TV? I’ll have Verizon FIOS installed this week (tv and internet) and would like something that can do it all and hang on the wall… any ideas or suggestions? Thanks!

What do I need to do to hook up a flat screen to my computer to use it as a monitor.
I’ve got two monitors now. A 30″ & a 24″ monitor now…..its not big enough for me.
I read construction plans on my screens.
If I can hook it up to a 50″, can I hook up two 50″.

if your computer has a good graphics card you probably have dvi port. Then you’ll be able to connect it via dvi to LCD. Or if you have a S-video out you can use that. Or even a standard RCA cable could be used. But DVI is the best quality. Some LCDs have VGA in.

How Can I Make The Games Work By Using A Samsung Flat-panel Lcd Tv For As A Computer Monitor?

My ATI video card has an S-VIDEO port & uses a cable to run to the S-VIDEO port on the back of the TV. You have to download & install a CATALYST CONTROL CENTER program from ATIs web site & set it up from there. I am sure NVIDIA has the same deal. Your TV becomes your montor & you can even watch TV on your computer. Just make sure both your TV & video card has the S-VIDEO plug, most newer models do.

How Do I Connect A Phillips 42″ Flat Tv As A Monitor To An Emachine Et1161-07 Computer?

According to Emachine’s specs for your computer: http://www.emachines.com/products/produc… It says you have a VGA port.
You can connect your EMachines computer to your Philips flatscreen directly only if your Philips TV also has a VGA port. In that case, you use a standard VGA Monitor cable.
If your Philips flatscreen does not have a VGA port, then the best thing to do would be to upgrade your Emachines to a better graphics card, one with either a DVI or HDMI output. That is possible since the Emachines specs say you have an available PCIExpress 16x expansion slot. You can connect a video card’s DVI or HDMI output directly to your Philips’ HDMI ports. And this is the best way to do it, because DVI / HDMI are digital connections (VGA is analog).
Hope this helps.
