You have POOR antenna signal….that’s why it Freezes and Pixellates…
IF you’re using an indoor antenna, the best way to ADJUST your antenna is to go to your ANALOG Channel (numbers like 6, 12, 44 etc) instead of your DIGITAL Channels (6-1, 12-3, 44-2) and tune the antenna so there is little to NO SNOW on the Channel…..
Then you can switch back to your Digital TV stations for noise-free digital…..
It’s easier to see how good/bad your signal is with the analog stations….
Now, if your ANALOG channels are still pretty snowy, you may have to ADD a 20db RF amplifier to your antenna FIRST (Radio Shack carries them!) and see if that locks your stations in…..
If that still doesn’t help….then you have to get your Antenna UP and UP and MORE UP than where it presently is….
The higher you go the better the signal gets…..
That’s why people have OUTDOOR roof-mounted antennas…
But MOST have Cable or Satellite, and the reason is because they don’t have to do anything to the antenna at all, the Cable/Satellite guys maintain the equipment for you, figure the problem out for you and fix it FOR YOU….
Of course the Sat Guys charge a preset fee for any repairs….same as the Cable guys, but they’re maintained by a monthly surcharge….
You pay one way or another….
Anyways, get your Sat or Cable guy out if you have those services….

Yes-there is no such thing as a digital or HDTV antenna-all a marketing gimmick. The one thing you have to be aware of is that most digital OTA TV is on UHF channels as opposed to most analog TV being on VHF. If you’re getting a good picture now from a UHF station located where all the others are, you should get a good HDTV picture.
