How Do You Deal With Having A Long Distance Relationship?
I am specifically asking about my situation but I’d like to know how you deal with it. I know a similar question has been asked but mine’s a little different.
I have dated this guy for 4 years and a couple weeks now. We started dating as freshmen in college and now I’m in grad school in UT and he’s finishing his 5th year at our old place in OH. Needless to say, that’s really far away. My biggest problem is not being jealous when he goes and hangs out with friends until 2 or 3 am on the weekends.
So how do you guys cope with being really far away from someone you love and how do you cope with different social lives? We’re in our early twenties and plan on getting married at some point but for right now we’re looking at a LDR of about 5 years. Please don’t tell me it’s stupid and won’t work because I’m looking for encouragement and helpful ideas.
Thanks!
Will This Long Distance Relationship Work?
I met my girlfriend at the beginning of summer when i took her to my senior prom. We really grew closer to each other over the summer time and when summer was over we decided that we would try a long distance relationship. I go to college in Oklahoma and she goes to college in Texas. We’re both freshmen. Its about a six hour distance. Considering we have a fairly young relationship (six months) do you think we will last till next summer?

Relationships In College, Long Distance Ones, Vs. Ones On Campus….?
SO! i am gonna be a freshmen next year and i am also thinking about relationships next year… I sorta have a thing going on with the girl i went to prom with, but nothing official, and i was a orientation and flirted about and i now have like 15 phone numbers so yah i could have a relationship there. BUT the difference is if i go with a distance relationship i would be an hour away and i could consintrate more on my school work, i am easliy distracted, but that i only could see her on the weekends, where as if i chose one on campus it would be vise versa. I dunno which one to choose…..what would u do? se also the prom date girl was away all month so i never got a cance to ask her out, which i wanted to do, and now she is coming back friday, but i ahve to work, and i leave saterday after work all day to a week long church retreat….so yah im in a bind
How To Survive A College Long Distance Relationship?
My boyfriend and I have been together for almost a year now. We are freshmen in college this year and I have realized how difficult it is to make this work. We want to stay together and plan to get married once we are both finished with school, about 6 years from now. What I need help with is making it through those years. We text, talk, IM, and webcam, but I the not holding each other and stuff gets to me. Does anyone have any different ideas? All is appreciated, thank you.
