My Boyfriend’s Phobia Of Long-distance Relationships?
My bf is a jr in high school and I am a sr. We have now been dating for a month and a half, and I care about him a lot… I even think that I could love him someday. Here’s the problem: I’m going off to college this fall 7 hours away from my bf. My bf has never successfully held a long distance relationship (neither have I) or a relationship longer than ours. When I bring up my concerns about next year he changes the subject. He says he’s afraid to have deep feelings for me because I’m leaving, even though he likes me a lot. I think we both went into this knowing we might break up after graduation, but I’m afraid I’m already becoming attached to him. Are we capable of making it, even though in a year and a half he’s going to the air force academy? Am I worrying too much too soon? If he somehow falls in love with me, for the first time, will he be willing to make it work long-distance? Or should I just accept that this will soon end and have fun for the rest of the school year?

The special person and I love each other for 4 years. We went to college togther. For 3 years we had never spoken, just enjoy looking at each other from distances—we both hiden the feeling inside. Before my graduation I told him that I am leaving. Although we did not really know each other, but I knew he cared!
I was very sad because I miss him so much. I thought I was going to forget him because we will never see each other again. But with God wills… I found his website. He wrotes poetries about us. He claims he loves and will wait for me!
I contacted him. We decided to keep in touch as friend because I moved to difference states. Well, we have been e-mail each others and stay friends for over a year now. I really like him.
I want to make the friendship become a long distance relationship—Do you think it is going to be a good idea? or
Should we stay friend until we have a chance to be togther?

Long Term Relationship In College???
My boyfriend is a senior in high school. I am a freshman in college. My school is about two hours away from home, but I come home a lot to visit with my boyfriend. In June, he leaves to go to a school three hours from home and five hours from my school. Plus he’ll be playing football so he’ll be busy all summer, through football season. I really care about him. I think I may even love him… He’s a very sweet, nice guy. We’ve never really done the whole not seeing each other thing for more than a few weeks at a time. He’s on a scholarship, so he’s stuck at his school. And I am not willing to leave my school. I will not be one of those girls who goes to a school because of a boy. How hard is it to maintain a long distance relationship?? Is it worth it? Or should we just end it come his graduation this May?

I never understood the appeal of participating in a long-distance relationship.
If you and your high school sweetheart go off to different schools at graduation…it’s time to let that person go. Have a good college experience! Why constantly experience the anguish of being tied to someone, possibly hundred of miles away?
Or maybe you met someone over the internet.
Or your bf/gf moved, got transferred, whatever.
Or the myriad of other circumstances
How can you have a romantic relationship with someone who lives so far away, where you maybe only see each other every few months?
In my opinion, you’re cutting yourself off from other potential partners by clinging to that distant person.

One of my best friend’s girl friend (pretty much fiance at this point) is graduating and I have no idea how much to give her. I have only hung out with her three times, because it is a long distance thing. I’m a college student, but I have had a job on the side for a while now.

I Am In A Long Distance Relationship; Marriage Before College Graduation?
My girlfriend and I have been in a long distance relationship for one year and a half (3 years relationship) ever since I entered college in VA and she lived in my hometown Miami. That was not so bad but then she moved back to Brazil ( We are both brazilians) and now seeing each other is really hard and expensive and we can;t take it anymore.She wishes to study where I am. We both love each other tremendously and have been talking about marriage for one year .I am a sophomore student athlete in college and she is a freshman, and we wish to marry next year. I do not plan to work just take out loans to sustain myself. Will the financial sacrifice for two years be worth it ? I think it will be but my parents are not and are against me, can anyone who lived a similar scenario give me feed back ?
