I Am In A Long Distance Relatinship Trying To Make It Not Long Distance?
im in a long distance relationship my gf goes to school across the country and i go on the other side im in a college and must switch to uni , is it wrong to want to switch to the same uni she is going to , she wants me to but wants me to also make my own friends there and stuff. we are in love like are ld works really good but im scared my rents and her rents will not accept that im going for her. she i still go and follow my heart?

Ok, first off, please define what type of drive distance you think qualifies as a long distance relationship. (hours, not miles please)
This girl and I have been friends for a long time, and are infact best of friends now. We tell eachother everything, and are open about the fact that we both like eachother, but we dont talk about that fact often. She gets all quiet and says long distance relationships dont work.
Then, yesterday over aim she vented about everything going wrong at the moment and then went on to say that she would absoloutley love to date me, but she doesnt thing long distance ever works out. She has MAJOR trust issues, even with me to an extent. She said that if we ever ended up at the same college, she would date me in a heartbeat, but, again, she isnt sure if I could be faitlful, and she said she doesnt know if she could. She also stated that she doesnt want to risk our friendship. ***more details in a second***
Long Distance Relationship Gone Bad??
I been dating this guy for almost a year. We been doing the whole long distance thing because im in college (2hours away) but during the summer and thru all the times we were able to be together things got more intimate. But lately I havent been having n e interest in going to visit him so my excuse is “im working” although i am… im also partying. I feel guilty but then again hes the type of guy that is controling. its cool sometimes but it get frustrating. He also cries on the phone cuz he misses me (such a turn off) he loves me tho..so much i feel guilty if i was to let him go. he such a sweet guy and very attractive. he’s getting a place in my home town and im almost done with school and moving back… he wants me to stay with him. My secret is… I have been seeing some other guy, we were friends but we both fell for eachother, not what i planned!i swallow my heart… i love LD guy but fallen for the other 1. I dont wanna be greedy and have to come up with some kind of conlusion
Has Anyone Had A Successful Long Distance Relationship In College?
I was LD for two years in college. It sucked because I couldn’t really afford so much long distance. This was more than 10 years ago, so it wasn’t pretty.
I mean, you know, you’re in college surrounded by young, interesting, beautiful people. Why not shop at school? That’s the practical mind thinking. I know it’s hard for the mind to talk the heart out of anything.
I guess I would say — if you are not involved in it yet — avoid it. Enjoy your college campus life as much as you can. This is a unique time in your life. You don’t want to spend it in your room on the phone.
How To Survive A Long Distance College Relationship?
Hi, I recently started a relationship this semester at college. We’ve been dating around 3 months now. Here is my dillema, she lives about 3 hours away from me during the summer, and next year (Junior Year, we are currently Spohpomores) she has an internship in a city 45 mins away from campus where she will live all year and wont be back on campus until senior year. Essentially she will be away from me for around 14 months. I’ve heard horror stories of LD relationships not working and very few success stories. I’m looking for advice on how to make this work or tips I can use, I really like this girl and want to stay with her. Thanks!
