From My Couch To The Wall I Plan On Mounting A Flat Screen Tv Is 17 Feet. What Size Tv Is Good For Viewing ?

There is a rule of thumb for how far you should view a widescreen TV from and what size it should be for optimal viewing. This is about a 36 – 42″ screen for 10 – 15 feet, and 52″ or larger for anything beyond that.
Do what a couple others suggested: go to a TV store, stand 17 feet from the TVs, and pick the size that works best (and that you can afford).

I am buying a TV for a just finished basement and want to mount a 46 TV. The problem is that there are metal studs, not wood. Can it be mounted to the metal, or are there dry wall ancors that can safely support a 46 in flat panel TV

Need Help Mounting Flat Tv On Floating Stand. Mounted According To Instructions, Dont Understand How To Secure

I built the stand up to the part where you put the tv on it.
Stand: http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f75/ti…
My finger is where the brackets would go. My nail is where the screw would go: http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f75/ti…
Back of tv: http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f75/ti…
My finger is where the rectangular mounting frame would go: http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f75/ti…
As you can see the bolt ends up attached to the air: http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f75/ti…
This is the supposed safety bolt that “stops the tv from falling”: http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f75/ti…
It consists of a screw through a plastic cylinder and doesn’t even touch the tv (hand is where tv would go): http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f75/ti…
Does it look right? are the brackets just supposed to be put on the frame and not secured?

Well, I actually assembled all of the rest of the tv console stand, but having trouble figuring out how to mount it to the spine of the tv console. None of the million screws seem to not work or is too short. Anyone had this problem and know how to fix it?

Flat Panel Tv Mounting Question?

I am planning on mounting my flat panel tv on the wall of a new room we just built. I put a sheet of 1/2 inch OSB board on the wall and then put drywall over it so as to be able to mount the tv wherever I want. Do you think it will hold, or should I still mount it into the studs? The TV weighs about 85lbs. Thanks.

I mounted our 19 inch flat screen tv on the wall. Now on a fairly regular basis, I need to push back on the tv to get the picture to come back. Can the mounting brackets cause pressure on the screen and cause it to fade out? If so, how can I alleviate this problem? Thank you for any advice!
