Whats The Minium Contrast I Should Look For When Getting My New Flat Tv, Is 1500:1 Any Good For Home Tv, Dvds+?

1500:1 is pretty low contrast ratio! Generally a low contrast ratio is a sign of a cheap TV. I would look for something with a ratio of 10,000:1 or higher!
The higher the contast ratio is, the better the picture quality will be.

How To Connect Pioneer Surround Sound System To Flat Screen Tv?

i have a samsung HD flatscreen tv. i got a pioneer sx 218 surround sound system. if i plug a ipod or dvd player to the reciever on the surround sound system i get the sound out of the speakers. now how do you connect the reciever to the tv to get surround sound for when you watch tv??????
