‘England will be certainly knocked out of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa’ that’s according to FIFA .
‘It will probably be at the quarter final stages and the England third raters will be defeated on penalties, probably by Germany, Portugal or Argentina’ he continued.
In a swift rebuttal , FA Chief of something or other Sir Trev Brooking dismissed this claim.
‘I am sick and tired of FIFA casting aspersions on our national squad’ said Mr Brooking
He added ‘everyone knows we won’t even qualify in the first place.

Can The Us Finally Get A Seeding For The 2010 World Cup Draw?
This is basically what will determine how hard the US’s competition will be in the WC next year, and it could determine the US’s outlook for the three years after the World Cup based on how they do. Mexico has not won the Gold Cup for 6 years and has not beaten the US for four. The US’s FIFA World Ranking is higher than Mexico’s, yet besides all of this, Mexico gets the seeding and thus, the easier group. Just to show an example: in 06, the US did not get the seed and came up with Italy, the Czechs, and Ghana. Mexico got the seed and came up with Portugal, Iran, and Angola. There’s a big difference there. As expected, the US did not go through while Mexico did.
Why Did Portugal Lose In The 2006 Fifa World Cup?
I am portuguese, and I was wondering why Portugal lost to France in the Fifa World Cup 2006. Was it because of that penalty kick? What caused it anyway? Why did Portugal get a penalty??
Also, why did we lose in the Euro 2008 this year? I thought we played well. Did the Portuguese coach retire? Do we have a good chance at winning the World Cup in 2010?
