Would Nations Such As Iran, Saudi Arabia, And Others Boycott The World Cup If Israel Qualified 2010?
This could even happen in the Olympics if Israel qualifies from the UEFA U-21 tournament. A situation like this last happened in the Athens 2004 Olympics in JUDO, but Iran wasn’t suspended from the JUDO Federation.
Surely Football is a much bigger deal what would FIFA do maybe suspend the Federations that participated in such a political protest. After all Israel came damn close in 2006 and there level of play is improving.

so in reality we could see in the world cup 3 teams from n. america and 5 from south america, or 4 and 4 from each continent.

Fifa has anounced that a South American Country will be hosting the 2014 World Cup. All South American countries have already voted Brazil even though there has been no official meeting of this kind. With all of that wraped up, there are allready bids comming in for the 2018 Cup.
I know that this is still 12 more years away and the world can change in 12 years but where do you think that the 2018 World Cup will be?

there are 4 places available plus a play-off with the winner from Oceania section for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. as for the INDIA national team’s chances, there is unlikely that they will qualify as the traditional powerhouse of Asia such as KOREA REPUBLIC, JAPAN, IRAN, SAUDI ARABIA, KUWAIT & CHINA PR are among the favourites to progress to the finals in 2010.
bear in mind that INDIA lose heavily to SAUDI ARABIA 7-0 in the recent 2007 Asian Cup qualifiers, so how can you expect INDIA to qualify for the next World Cup with the back of this heavy defeat?
