No Girlfriend All Through Highschool Until College. Please Help..?

Hello, I have a slight problem. I’m 16 years old and just graduated tenth grade. My parents sent me to an all boys military school this past year and while i was there, I noticed that everyone i know and liked is about 900 miles away from me. This means that if I were to have a relationship it would be extremely long distance and difficult to handle. And I’m being sent there for my junior and senior year too.
So….would it be a bad idea to go all of my life without a girlfriend until college or later? Or should I go for the long shot and try to manage a relationship in these harsh conditions?
Thanks.

Can Long-distance Relationships Really Work?

I’ve been with my boyfriend for a year and six months. We started dating during my senior year of high school, and we went to the same college together last year. However, I’m transferring schools this fall, and I leave tomorrow for my new college. I feel like the relationship is already starting to “fizzle” a little bit.. and I’m sure it’s going to be that much harder with me going away. I think I’m mostly just afraid of hurting him.. Should I just wait and see what happens?

Long Distance Relationship: Yes Or No?

I recently graduated from high school. The last two months or so of my senior year, I started dating a sophomore. I am now planning on going to college 4 hours away from the school (it was a boarding school), and even now over the summer, we live three hours apart, which makes seeing each other rather difficult. I have no other problems with the relationship other than the possible inconvenience of the distance, which can be challenging since my access to a car will be extremely limited in the foreseeable future. Should I still try to make a long distance relationship work?

Long Distance Relationship Advice…?

I’ve been in a relationship with my current girlfriend for almost three years. Granted, we get along very well most of the time and have had our rough spots.
For the past year she planned on moving to my area, so the length of our long distance was her senior year at college. She accepted a job in FL (I’m in NY) and is getting trained down there for 18 months. I could do that, 18 more months, but her program got redefined so that she will be down there for at least 3 years, if she is lucky. By the time she gets back, out of a 6 year relationship, more than four years would be long distance.
I feel bad breaking up with her when we’re so compatible, but the distance is almost impossible to fathom. Any recommendations?

Why Is Long Distance So Hard, And Will Mine Work?

I met a girl in high school and we kind of had a thing for each other…never dated….We both went off to college and I finished, and we met back up 5 years later…she is finishing her senior year of college but the college is out of town.
I knew I would have some problems with the relationship being long distance, but I thought it could maybe work out if we both just tried really hard. Now, I write her letter (in the mail because email is just too easy and no heart) I send her some emails (short) just to say hi. I text her…etc….and she very rarely responds. She says she is just so busy, but loves me so please don’t take it the wrong way. How do I get past wanting more from her? She is a great girl and I am very happy with her, whenever she comes to visit it is totally perfect and I have no doubts about her love. I just feel so lost sometimes…what should I do?

How To Get To Know Each Other In A Long Distance Relationship?

This girl and I became a couple 2 weeks ago but she left for college which is about 8 hours away. We knew each other for senior year in high school but didn’t hang out much. Now it’s our 3rd year in college and she just said she doesn’t think she can do this anymore mainly because she wants to hang out more and get to know each other. Is there a solution for this?
Also, she doesn’t like talking on the phone and just talking about each others day isn’t working either.

My girlfriend and I have been together for almost 11 months. We met during our senior year of high school and we both believe found a part of what we were both missing. For college she is going to a college around here but I am going to another state. We both love each other very deeply but recently many people have been telling me and her that we will not stand being apart from each other and that we will end up finding someone else for company. I wish not to believe this but I have gotten a lot of answers with the same response. Can Anyone tell me if long distance relationships can work. And if they can, how do they work?

How To Survive A Long Distance College Relationship?

Hi, I recently started a relationship this semester at college. We’ve been dating around 3 months now. Here is my dillema, she lives about 3 hours away from me during the summer, and next year (Junior Year, we are currently Spohpomores) she has an internship in a city 45 mins away from campus where she will live all year and wont be back on campus until senior year. Essentially she will be away from me for around 14 months. I’ve heard horror stories of LD relationships not working and very few success stories. I’m looking for advice on how to make this work or tips I can use, I really like this girl and want to stay with her. Thanks!
