Long Distance Relationships Vs. Short Distance Relationships…?

I’ve asked many people about their opinions on my currently long distance relationship and their answers have always been the same, ‘its impossible’ ‘ you wont last long’ ‘ how can a relationship be only emotional and not physical’ my friends are surprised that I’ve been in a long distance relationship for almost 3 years and that i very much am in love with the man that is about 1600 miles away. We met on the internet and we’ve been friends for three years before getting official for almost 3 yrs after. He has visited me and i did have a wonderful time w/ him and am very comfortable w/ him and do even want to marry him. But it gets very hard sometimes being in college and meeting other wonderful guys, especially guys that remind me of him and have a lot in common w/ the long distance guy. What’s a girl to do? I’ve met a guy that I like very very much and that is also very sweet and reminds me a lot of the long distance guy…should i give the guy a shot or would that just be so wrong?

My Dilemma: Long Distance Vs. Short Distance Relationship. Which To Choose?

There is a girl who I have loved since childhood. But she moved away, far away. Although we have been in touch, never in a relationship have we been. She is coming back to my town for christmas, only to go away again to college. I am going away to college as well. Now should I start a long distance relationship with a girl I have much in common, or a close distance one when I go to my college. I can always see her after we both graduate.. unless she finds someone else… What do you think is the best option?
