Can’t Find Stud Joists To Fix Flat Tv Bracke To – Tried Stud Detectors

Hi I am trying to fix a 32″ flat screen tv to a wall I assumed was hollow and had stud joists. I live in uk and all the internal walls are hollow and a pain to work with ie have to use special hollow rawlplugs etc. I bought a bracket to fix the tv onto, instructions say it must be fixed to stud partitions if a hollow wall, so now have tried two makes of stud detectors, they just bleep all over the place and randomly, ie I cannot locate vertical studs at all, cannot understand, this is a wall that separates my house from another, although it sounds hollow, could it be that in fact it is solid underneath, and that is why I can’t locate joists? Because it sounds very hollow, perhaps this is plasterboard for cosmetic reasons which is not affixed to brick wall? What do I do as I do not want tv collapsing or ruining a wall I will not get back perfect again even if I fill it etc? thanks for help

How Big Of A Flat Screen Tv Would Fit Into A Box 28″ Width And 22″ Height With 9″ Depth?

Youd probly be best going wiht a 26 most 32′s are about 30 to 31 inches…youll be fine on the hight and the depth also seeing as current flat panel lcds are about 3 inches deep to leds being 1.2″. Hight will not be a problem seeing as the 26″ lcd are 19ish…That box sounds like it was for a CRT television which was 4:3…most if not all tvs are set to 16:9 which is wide screen meaning they will be far wider than tall.

I’m Gonna Start A Long Distance Relationship In January?

My boyfriend and I have been together for 4 months now, but we were really close friends/had strong feelings for each other for about a year before that. We’re both 18 and I’m going to Community College on a scholarship. He doesn’t have a scholarship or the money to go to school. His father joined the military and his family will be moving with him on base in 10 months, but he doesn’t want to go with them.
He has looked into a private University that will pay for four years of college so long as he joins the army on the third year. He will graduate as an officer. He wants to marry me as soon as he does, and he wants me to move on base with him. He says that Officers don’t usually go into war, which is what scares me the most about him joining.
Now, this all sounds amazing, and I love him so much that I’d marry him in a heartbeat. I feel like we’ve been dating for much longer then we have been, but the only problem is that his school is at least one hour away, and we’d only be able to see each other once a week or at least every two weeks. That’s still not too awful, but I was in a long Distance relationship before with a guy who wanted to marry me (he was much older then me, I was younger and really naive) and it failed miserably just three months after we started it (we had been together for almost two years before he moved).
So it seems like im just being young and stupid again. Do we really have a chance? Do you think a guy would wait 4 years to marry a woman? He says he wants to take care of me and that’s why he’s going to do it.
I love him, and I’m afraid of all this change. I really want us to work out. Any suggestions on how to keep a long distance relationship alive??

Whats The Likeliness That A Long Distance Relationship Can Work?

My friend is dating a girl he met on myspace and see’s her maybe twice a month when hes lucky. In previous relationships, he normally needs the gf to be living close by him. Both of them are starting college in a couple weeks, she won’t even have a car and hes low on cash. I dont want to see him hurt but the chance of this relationship surviving sounds minimal. So Im wondering in this case scenario, will the long distance relationship work?
p.s. they’ve only known each other for a month
