Can I Play Ps3 Games On 720p On Simple Flat Tv Using Component Av Cable?

I think the AV cables supplied can only produce 480P(DVD quality) picture or at most 576P. 720P means you are entering HD lines. HDMI cables are meant to handle HD signals. Try a HDMI and you will see the difference.
Also, your TV should support HD. I am hoping by ‘Simple Flat TV’ you mean a LCD or a PLASMA TV and not normal CRT’s with a flat screen.
Check for the terms ‘HD ready’ or ‘Full HD’ on your TV or else check for a HDMI slot behind the TV (It’s a single rectangular slot). If you have it, then only can you view HD picture via a PS3.

Can I Use A Flat Screen Monitor In Place Of A Tv?

My TV is about to die, and I am thinking it might just be worth my while to replace my TV with a 20 inch flat monitor. Just making sure it can be done.
The way I am thinking, a TV in addition to the screen has a receiver to get the channels and an amplifier/speakers for sound.
But if i get my TV stations through a cable box, and amplify my sound thru an audio receiver, wouldn’t it make sense that all I really need is the screen (the built in receiver and amplifier in a TV is superflous). In addition, I have the Miglia eye TV, compatible with my macbook, so I can get TV stations on my MacBook (it is an analog to digital converter)
I think it is a neat idea, and flat panel monitors cost less than flat screen TVs, plus I could use it for more stuff on my computer.
But before I go out and buy a 20+ in monitor, just want to check that it can be done.
Also is there a way to stream video (all video, including TV and DVD) wirelessly from my laptop to the monitor?

I’m looking for a low cart with wheels that I can put a little flat screen tv and cable box on. I’d like something like this http://www.containerstore.com/browse/Pro… but not for quite as much money. From the wall I’d really only like it to go out two-ish feet (at most) and be about 30 inches wide (at most.) Do you know of any good ones?

Where To Place A Cable Box For Flat Panel Tv?

December 25, 2009 by

I have just installed & mounted a new 42″ flat panel tv above my fireplace. Since it is a High Definition tv my cable company requires me to use a cable box in order to receive the HD signal. However, now I can’t figure a good place to put the cable box. Where could I put the cable box without it looking out of place or awkward? I thought of putting the cable box in another location within the room but the only outlet for the cable wire is behind where the tv hangs now. (it s a brand new home and the cable was wired to this location specifically for a flat panel.) The fireplace does not have a mantle either.
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Is There A Flat Screen Wireless Tv That Can Receive Power And Satellite Channels Without An Electrical Outlet?

December 18, 2009 by

I would assume that since technology has gotten as far as watching regular TV and cable/satellite channels on cell phones and wireless laptops, there would be a wireless flat screen TV for your home that does not require an electrical outlet for power and is easily transferable from room to room to watch TV. Is this available anywhere yet?
