Samsung Big Flat-screen Tv Constantly Turning Off By Itself While We Are Watching- What Could Cause This?

Sometimes we will be watching and it will just turn off once. Other times it will continue to turn off like 5 times and then be fine until hours later or the next day. I can’t figure it out. There are no timers set or anything like that and nothing seems wrong with the colors or picture. What could this be?

Can Watching Wide Screen Dvds On A Flat Screen Tv Burn The Tv?

I was told that watching a Wide Screen DVD on a flat screen TV will burn the top and bottom of the TV, because of the black lines of the wide screen not moving. I don’t really get how this would happen but I guess because of no moving picture in the black bars they think that this burns the TV. Is this true?
