A lot of new plasma TVs hardly have the burn in problem. Plasma TVs have a quicker response time so they’re better to watch sports and play video games.

plasma if you want a cheap big screen lcd if you want a small high quality screen

Well people will argue for both ways..
But Id say LCD, since with Plasma, you can get an image burnt into the screen if the image is left on it for too long, like say you hit the pause button and leave it for 8 hours and forget about it.
Also there is another type of TV thats out made by Samsung its called LED.

Plasma’s DO NOT use large amounts of energy! They are comparable to similar sized LCD TVs(except LED)!

For your situation, i highly recommend a Plasma TV from either Panasonic or Samsung!
