Who Should Host Future Tournaments?
Euro 2016
France? Italy? Turkey? Norway/Sweden?
World 2018
Australia? England? Indonesia? Japan? Mexico? Russia? USA?Belgium/Holland? Portugal/Spain?
Other countries wont be hosting any of these tournaments, as the ones listed above are the nations that bidded to be hosts (/joint hosts) before the deadline.
Incase you didn’t already know, Poland and Ukraine will host Euro 2012 and Brazil will host the 2014 World Cup.
OQ: Why haven’t Yahoo changed the name of this section to FIFA 2010 World Cup and do you think that they’ll ever get around to doing it?
Euro should go to Norway/Sweden because I believe that EURO should be played in less football developed coutries because they don’t have such a strong league structure. England, Spain, Italy, France and Germany can enjoy top quality football with many stars to watch almost every week while other countries can enjoy it only on TV.
But the WC2018 should go to England, I believe it would be the best WC of all time. Most of world’s biggest stars would be very comfortable on English stadiums because most of them were playing there in CL or UEFA Cup and when it comes to the quality of marketing and broadcasting ”English” are the best.
I would love to see Indonesia get the WC, as a country they are football mad. However, in terms of infrastructure there is just too much to do, so I think it is unlikely.
So I would go for England in 2018 and Australia in 2022.
Mexico drop their bid because the FMF doesn’t have money. Although all of us mexico fans know that’s a bunch of bull. So Spain and Portugal
Yahoo does list it as the Fifa 2010 world cup
And the world cup after Brazil it should come back to its home country…ENGLAND
Australia ofcourse, we are they best possible place to hod it!!
I hope Turkey get Euro and England get WC

–It’s about automatic qualification plus the traveling havoc, joint bids are not worth it.

It’s almost same, all have successfully hosted football tournaments/finals in past.( Istanbul 2005- Paris 2006- Rome 2009)
WC
Australia are due one. I guess losing this bid would secure 2022 for them,(fact not opinion)
England- sounds luracative.
Indonesia Hell lot of work to do, terrorism is an issue
Japan- 2002-2018 it will be worth it.
Russia- Umm..they can do it…but..
Mexico- see Russia, plus their neighbors are in a better position
USA- bring it on, Football is on a rise and FIFA can capitalize the chance(plus the US itself)
