To make sure your new TV works with an antenna after the digital switchover be sure to look for the following:
Includes ATSC tuner if sold for the United States
Includes DVB tuner or Freeview if sold for the United Kingdom
Without the proper tuner you will need:
A converter box for the United States
A Freeview box for the United Kingdom
It will work just fine.
after the first of the year you wont be able to use an antenna anymore as all tv is going digital.
